Important Airline Videos

We received this video from a clearly upset United Airlines customer who has had difficulty using his frequent flyer miles for a number of years.  Believe us, we feel your pain.  It can be daunting and outright impossible to use the minimum number of frequent flyer miles when trying to book a flight with United.  As you can see in the video, John, is told that his frequent flyer miles can be used to book the flight he has requested, only to be told that he will have to purchase them with his credit card, or use 50,000 of his miles.  John is not flying from Chicago Hong Kong, rather; just LA - one of the cheapest flights in the US.  Problem is that it is New Years and a very busy time to be flying.  Here is an interesting tip for FiredAirlineAgent.com readers that should help you get frequent flyer miles in the future:  You need to book frequent flyer miles out a year in advance.  For example, Airlines determine their schedules 11 months in advance.  If you want to book a flight to Brazil, Chile, Germany, etc... you need to book 11 months out when the airline schedules are first determined.  Believe it or not, only 6 weeks, on average, after the flights are determined, the best flights are usually sold out of frequent flyer mile seats.  So book 11 months out or pay the price as John does in this video with a customer service agent at United Airlines.
